Tyler Olander is a 6’9 and 215 pound power forward from E.O. Smith. He has close ties to UConn where his father works. He started getting recognition for his play when he transferred to Worcester Academy and started playing against elite talent. His stock rose with excellent play in both the Reebok All-American camp and the West Virginia Jamfest. He isn’t shy about attacking the rim or playing through contact. While he isn’t polished with his post game, he has been working hard on that aspect of his game. He is left handed, loves the transition game and is active on the glass. He might find it hard to get minutes behind Oriakhi, Okwandu, and Majok for minutes but looks to be ready for play in a year or two.
